Then in the Preferences dialog box, choose the Data tab / section. In TradeStation 10, click on Settings, as shown in the following image, and then Preferences. This option is buried and tricky to find, but here's how to find it in TradeStation 10. To fix this issue, you must set TradeStation to download data immediately rather than after market hours. And you'll be waiting and waiting for charts to load, as well as indicators to update, as nothing appears to be happening until after hours. When TradeStation first launches and tries to load a large amount of data, a 'Download Scheduler' dialog appears that asks if you want to load your data immediately or wait until 'after hours.' If you choose to wait, and the 'don't ask again' box is checked, then TradeStation will wait until after hours to load data and won't ask again. If you feel you're waiting for TradeStation data to load and you're seeing the yellow PD in the upper left of the chart with nothing loading, you may have accidentally set TradeStation to wait on data downloads.
